Todd has an Oesophageal Disorder, Depression, Muscular-Skeletal Disorder, ADHD, a Nervous System Disorder and shoulder and upper arm disorder. Todd was keen to find a job that supported his restrictions and offered long term opportunities.
With the support of his Case Manager and Cookers NSW State Manager, Julian McDonnell, Todd was employed as a General Hand. His role encompasses truck cleaning, tank maintenance and presentation and other warehouse duties. Cookers Bulk Oil has provided extensive on the job training to support Todd in the aspects of his role and ''hopes to develop him into a delivery role further down the track''.
Todd has been employed with Cookers Bulk Oil for 12 months and loves his job. Todd accepted a permanent role in December 2010. Todd says ''The employer and workers are very supportive. My depression has decreased because I am working and I feel like I am part of a team''.
